Philosophy:  Represents winter -- potential hidden by pure white snow; it represents innocence, purity and a brand new beginning; the student is as yet untouched by the knowledge of Tang Soo Do

Test Requirements:  A willingness to put on a do bok and try !!!

 


Philosophy:  Motivational stage between white and green belt

Test Requirements:

Hand Basics:  Basic Set motions #1-#6

Kick Basics:  Front Kick, Roundhouse Kick, Side Kick and Jump Front Kick

Forms:   Form #1

1-Steps:  Children (Long Distance #1-#2), Adults (Long Distance #1-#2)

Self Defense:  Basic Self Defense #1-#2

Breaking:  Stomp Kick

 


Philosophy:  Motivational stage between white and green belt

Test Requirements:

Hand Basics:  Basic Set motions #1-#6

Kick Basics:  Inside/Outside Kick, Outside/Inside Kick, Skip-in Side Kick

Forms:   Form #2

1-Steps:  Children (Long Distance #1-#4), Adults (Hand #1-#4, Kicking #1-#4)

Self Defense:  Basic Self Defense #1-#4

Breaking:  Children (Hammer Fist), Adults (Knife Hand)

 


Philosophy:  Motivational stage between white and green belt

Test Requirements:

Hand Basics:  Basic Set motions #1-#12

Kick Basics:  Back Kick, Low/High Roundhouse kick

Forms:   Form #3, Pyong Ahn Cho Dan

1-Steps:  Children (Long Distance #1-#6), Adults (Hand #1-#6, Kicking #1-#6)

Self Defense:  Basic Self Defense #1-#6

Breaking:  Children (Knife Hand), Adults (Palm Strike)

 


Philosophy:  Green represents spring -- growth of the student; the student's potential is growing and developing, similar to a tree; the student's knowledge and physical abilities continue to grow and will eventually blossom

Kick Basics:  Front leg front, roundhouse and side kicks

Forms:   Pyong Ahn Cho Dan & Pyong Ahn E Dan

1-Steps:  Children (Long Distance #1-#7), Adults (Hand #1-#8, Kicking #1-#8)

Self Defense:  Basic Self Defense #1-#8

Breaking:  Jump Front Kick

Philosophy:  Red represents Summer -- blossoming of the student; the student's potential has blossomed and is ripening, similar to that of a tree; the student is training harder and learning to meet new challenges with confidence and a positive attitude

1-Steps:  Combination 1-Steps (#1-#5)

Self Defense:  Advanced Self Defense (Same side, cross hand)

Breaking:  Jump Back Kick
